Gardening & Outdoor Support
your outdoor space matters.

Whether it's keeping a safe path to your door, maintaining a garden you love, or growing your own food, having support to care for your outdoor space makes a real difference. Delivered through our partner Diverse Nature.

Therapeutic gardening, not just lawn care

Your outdoor space is part of your home. For many people, a safe and maintained yard means better mobility, less anxiety, and a connection to something living and growing. That matters.

Gardening support through Thrive Pathways isn't just about keeping things tidy. It can include hands-on therapeutic gardening: growing food, tending to plants you care about, and maintaining sensory garden spaces designed for calm and engagement.

Diverse Nature's team understands NDIS participants and works with your needs, not against them.

NDIS funding for gardening

Gardening and outdoor maintenance is typically funded under Assistance with Daily Life (Household Tasks, Category 01). This is part of your Core Supports budget and covers outdoor home maintenance as an extension of keeping your home safe and liveable.

Plan-managed participants: your plan manager handles invoicing directly with Diverse Nature. Self-managed participants: you pay and claim through the NDIS portal.

Gardening is not always listed explicitly in plans, but it can fall under household tasks. If you're unsure, we can help you check with your plan manager before you start.
