Musicool Maestro is our flagship community program. Participants come together to explore music in a fun, supportive environment, building real skills and genuine connections along the way.

Musicool Maestro brings NDIS participants together in a safe, welcoming environment where music is the vehicle for growth. Whether you've never touched an instrument or have been playing for years, there's a place for you here.

Sessions are led by Callum, our Program Director, who brings genuine passion for music and a knack for making every participant feel comfortable from day one. Every activity is designed to be accessible, inclusive, and genuinely fun.

Participants build towards real performance opportunities, showcasing what they've created and sharing it with family, friends, and the wider community.

Meet Callum

Callum is Thrive Pathways' Program Director and the person behind Musicool Maestro. He has a genuine passion for music and for creating spaces where participants feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely excited to be there.

He keeps sessions fun and accessible regardless of what participants come in with. Whether you've never touched an instrument or you've been playing for years, Callum works with where you're at.

Questions about Musicool Maestro

Do I need to be able to play music to join?

Absolutely not. Musicool Maestro is designed for all abilities and experience levels. We've had participants who'd never touched an instrument go on to perform publicly within months.

Is it funded through the NDIS?

Yes. Musicool Maestro can be funded through your NDIS plan under Social and Community Participation or Daily Activities budgets, depending on your plan. We'll help you figure out the right category.

How big are the groups?

We keep groups small to ensure every participant gets proper support and attention. Our facilitators are experienced working with participants of varying needs.

Can carers or support workers attend with me?

Yes. Carers and support workers are welcome to attend sessions. We'll work with your support team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Where are sessions held?

Sessions are held at the Nunawading Community Hub in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. Contact us for current session times and any parking or access information you need.

What is Musicool Maestro?

Musicool Maestro is a music-based community program from Thrive Pathways for NDIS participants in Melbourne. In a supportive group setting, participants explore instruments, singing and song-writing to build confidence, communication and social connection — no musical experience needed.

Do I need musical experience to join?

Not at all. Musicool Maestro welcomes complete beginners as well as people who already play. Sessions are paced for the group, and our facilitators adapt activities so everyone can take part and enjoy themselves.

Who can take part?

Musicool Maestro is open to NDIS participants in the Melbourne area. We support both plan-managed and self-managed participants. If you are not sure whether it is a good fit, reach out and we will talk it through with you.

Can I use my NDIS funding for Musicool Maestro?
