Good people, good stories,
a great DM.
It's a D&D group. Claire runs it, she's great at it, and the people in it are good fun. You'll create a character, go on adventures together, and finish sessions actually looking forward to the next one.
Sessions run on our Discord server, so you join from home. Never played before? That's fine. Claire will walk you through it, and the group is used to new players. Played for years? Also fine.
The communication, problem-solving, and teamwork that happen naturally in D&D are genuinely useful outside of it too. But mostly it's just a good time.
Meet Claire
Claire is our Programs Facilitator and the DM behind our D&D groups. She's been running tabletop sessions for a long time and genuinely enjoys it. She's good at reading a group, adjusting on the fly, and making sure everyone feels like they belong at the table.
She also runs our upcoming Minecraft program. If you've got questions about the D&D group before signing up, she's happy to have a chat.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions about our D&D group. Still curious? Send us a message — we'd love to hear from you.
What is the Thrive Pathways Dungeons & Dragons group?
It is a social Dungeons & Dragons group run by our facilitator Claire for NDIS participants. Through collaborative storytelling and tabletop adventures, players build social skills, problem-solving, teamwork and confidence — while having a great time.
Do I need to know how to play D&D?
No experience required. Claire is an experienced Dungeon Master who teaches everything as you go and tailors the game to the group. Whether you have never rolled a dice or you are a seasoned player, you are welcome.
Is the group online or in person?
Sessions run online over Discord, which means participants can take part from home. This makes the group accessible for people who find travel or busy in-person settings difficult.
Who can join the group?
The D&D group is open to NDIS participants who would enjoy a creative, social tabletop community. We work with plan-managed and self-managed participants. Get in touch and we will help find the right group for you.
Can I use NDIS funding to take part?
Many participants use their Core Supports budget (Assistance with Social and Community Participation) for social programs like this. If you are not sure what your plan allows, we can help you check.
How do I get started?
Register your interest on our Find Supports page or contact us. We will find a group that suits your experience level and availability, and help you get set up on Discord.
